He works as a professor and doctoral supervisor at Chongqing University. He was a postdoctoral fellow at School of Computer Science of Carnegie Mellon University in the USA, and a senior visiting scholar at Department of Computer Science of Pennsylvania State University in USA. He is the deputy director of Institute of Signal and Information Processing of Chongqing University and the Director of Laboratory of Intelligent Information Processing and Computing Services. He is the recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of Chongqing University in 2007 and 2008, and one of the third batch of reserve candidates of Chongqing Academic and Technical Leaders ("Information and Communication Engineering", 2018). He is a member of Intelligent Medical Committee of Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence, a member of Intelligent Robotics Committee of China Computer Federation, a member of the Artificial Intelligence Technology and Application Committee of China Institute of Communications, a member of Biophysics and Regenerative Repair Society of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association of Medical and Health Care, a member of Chongqing Health Engineering Committee, a director of Chongqing Digital Medicine Society, a member of the Chongqing Chronic Disease Management Innovation Industry Alliance, a member of Youth Working Committee of Chongqing Institute of Electronics, etc. He is a review expert of National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education of China, Chongqing Science and Technology Program, and other scientific research projects.
